The World Stole the Church
Chapter 8
Letter to Pastors and Believers
The following was taken from the Pilgrim Safe site, PilgrimSafe.com
Dear Pastor, Christ Under Shepherd, and believing members of Christ’s Church;
Clearly, Dear believing Pastor,
We are to provide encouragement in our church program for meeting together and exhorting one another with God’s Word of Truth.
“but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
– Hebrews 10:25
“When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation.”
– 1 Corinthian 14:26
Can we lead so that believers will be challenged to face, consider and respond to these instructions from Scripture?
Perhaps some will and some will not. For those who will, the opportunity should be provided.
Leadership is from the top.
Can we challenge the church to make arrangements for doing this exhortation in the home? The early church met in homes.
We need to learn to do this!
Given our present spiritual growth in the Scriptures, this may be difficult.
But we are to grow spiritually and in God’s Word of Truth.
“2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”
– 1 Peter 2:
As God’s Spiritual leader you can lead in a program of Scripture Memory and Spiritual growth!
We can each learn to
“14 Wait on the LORD”;
“14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
– Psalms 27:14
“10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
– Psalms 46:10
“25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another:
and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:25
